Some of you know my job used to be writing books and magazines and running a pretty big supplement business. I worked behind a desk most of the time and it had gotten to the point where I hardly ever got to do what I loved which is working directly with people and helping them transform their body and life. Today, working with people is almost all I do and I couldn’t be happier and more fulfilled. Through our transformation camps at my center in Colorado, we meet people (folks fly to us from all around the world) and educate them and motivate them. They learn how to take back control of their health. It’s powerful. And it is ALWAYS inspiring… and even stunning to see how much people can change. I never get tired of it and always get fired up when I see people succeed. Here’s an example…

The man in these photos is Steve Kracus. He’s 48 years of age, a husband, a father, and a computer engineer who also plays lead guitar in a local rock band in Ohio. Steve is humble and he isn’t one to brag, at all. So I want to brag for him a bit… this guy is changing his body and life right before my eyes. He has worked with great effort and determination to get rid of more than 40 lbs of bodyfat while he has gained a lot of solid muscle since he first came to transformation camp. He has literally made himself ten years younger physiologically. He is changing his body type completely… becoming a muscular athlete even though he started out not long ago as an average, aging American man. He is not just ‘losing weight’ — he is replacing fat with muscle and reshaping his body… and he is doing this in his late 40s. His heart health has improved even more than his body! The guy is going to be in the best shape of his life by the time he hits 50 and even then there is no stopping his improvement.

Start by making the resolute decision to change. Take a before photo. Set an inspiring and specific goal of where you want to be in 12 weeks and 12 months. Start an intelligent and proven plan which includes balanced and healthy eating, complete nutrition, as well as strength training and aerobic exercise. Then connect with other good, positive people who are also making healthy changes so you can benefit from mutual and powerful support, encouragement, and accountability. Keep in mind that your healthy changes will inspire others to start getting fit too. And finally, never underestimate the change you can make; never underestimate the difference you can make. You have the ability to change and no one can take that away from you. You CAN do it, I promise!

Transformation Camp Series Finishes With Success!

Bill Phillips Transformation Camp Successfully Finishes its 2-Year Run of Sold Out Events~

We have just this weekend’s Super 3-Day Camp to enjoy and then our two year project wraps up. With 37 Sold Out Camps and over 1,100 participants all total, the Transformation Camp Project went above and beyond my highest expectations for it! What an incredible experience it has been meeting and getting to know so many wonderful people, from all walks of life, who literally came from all corners of our world, with one thing in common: the desire to be healthier and to improve.

I never imagined this project would be so fun and enjoyable! It was also an honor and pleasure to be your teacher for the time you spent here. We shared a lot of laughter and some tears; good food and great workouts; we talked face to face about the challenges life brings our way; the mistakes we’ve made; and we helped each other find strength inside of us that many didn’t even know was there. In our speaking circles, I saw so much courage, I heard so much truth, I felt so much real, authentic, heart centered emotion. I was deeply touched and inspired by the strength and resiliency of the human spirit of our camp participants. And, I was stunned, over and over again, by the magnitude of the changes I saw camp participants make in the weeks after they went home and put their new knowledge into action. The power we each have to transform our lives in beyond measure.

I said two years ago when I started the camp series that it would be life changing. I know that intention has come to pass because it has absolutely changed mine… much more than I could have ever hoped for.  I am healthier, happier, more aware, and maybe even a little wiser than I was before. Camp has been a blessing. I have a beautiful and bright wife, Maria, and we have an exciting and inspiring life and future thanks to Transformation Camp. I have connected, in meaningful ways, with people from all over the world who have helped me learn so much about life and living.

THANK YOU so much to each person who traveled to Transformation Center and who gave me the special opportunity to share my knowledge and some of my over-flowing passion and enthusiasm for fitness with you! And thank you to all the volunteers, the workers, and to all our guest speakers for helping me so much — your efforts made a real and positive difference in the lives of many, including mine. For this, I am forever grateful and wish you the best of health always as your journey through life moves forward and continues to unfold.

I am diving into my next projects now; one of which is writing a book about what I learned and realized through my time at Transformation Center. The stories I have selected to share in the book will inspire you, teach you, uplift you, make you smile, and most of all… help you discover and believe in your own incredible power and ability to make stunning changes in your body and life!

I am also expanding our Right Nutraceuticals line of products and I am going to finally finish the new version of my website at Transformation.com which is all about how others have transformed their bodies and how YOU can do it too! I will keep you posted on these new and exciting endeavors which I hope will be as rewarding, inspiring, and fun as my two years at Transformation Camp!

7 Stubborn Nutrition Myths Debunked

MYTH: If you exercise regularly, it doesn’t matter if you eat right.

FACT: If you exercise regularly, it matters even more that you eat right. Exercise increases your body’s need for nutrients. And exercising a nutrient-deficient body actually creates worse nutrient deficiencies. Make no mistake, for exercise to be effective and for it to help improve your health, you must feed your body plenty of protein, vitamins, minerals, essential fats, quality carbohydrates and drink ample amounts of water. Then you’ll be able to build a stronger, healthier, leaner, better and more energetic body with each workout!

MYTH: Once you reach a certain age, you can’t get in shape.

FACT: You can improve your health and energy, at any age. You can improve your physical fitness, boost your energy and even improve your mental performance at any age, when you start feeding your body the right way.

MYTH: To be healthy, you just stop eating bad foods.

FACT: Your health is enhanced by eating the right foods. There is so much emphasis in diet books on what not to eat and so much misinformation in the media about how “bad” food is for us that I’m increasingly concerned what’s being overlooked is the fact that health is enhanced and our energy enriched by eating the right foods. Your body needs essential nutrients every day and it’s vitally important to understand that food is the ally, not the enemy.

MYTH: It’s bad to eat for “emotional reasons.”

FACT: I wholeheartedly believe that you should enjoy food. There’s absolutely no reason you shouldn’t look forward to your meals and count on them to help you feel good. A delicious dinner can settle your nerves after a hectic day. A great breakfast can lift your mood and help you get ready to take on the day ahead. And a sweet, satisfying dessert can put a smile on your face. It does mine! There’s really no reason not to honor the tradition of making food a part of the process of celebrating holidays, birthdays and special occasions as well. I think it’s perfectly fine to reach for a bowl of chicken soup when your body aches or you feel under the weather. The key is making healthy versions of the foods you enjoy. You can eat to fuel your body, while also feeding positive emotions.

MYTH: To stabilize blood sugar, you have to stop eating carbohydrates.

FACT: Eating protein and carbohydrates balances blood sugar. Today’s carbohydrate confusion began years ago when we fell for the low-fat fad. When food manufacturers began removing fat from foods and replacing it with highly processed carbohydrates, our collective blood sugar went through the roof, and the problems began. As it turns out, dietary fat wasn’t really the problem after all. However, in somewhat of a knee-jerk reaction, now the food fad is to cut carbs in an effort to bring blood sugar levels back into balance. Ten years from now, I guarantee we’ll be looking back at this current craze and seeing some very serious side effects. The fact is, cutting carbs is not the healthiest way to stabilize blood sugar levels. Carbohydrates are essential to eating right. The solution is to eat meals balanced with protein, quality carbohydrates and the essential fats your body needs.

MYTH: In order to be satisfied, you need to eat large portions.

FACT: Quality, not just quantity, produces healthy satisfaction. Our bodies crave quality nutrition, not merely massive quantities of food. So many people in America today have it completely backwards, though. They believe the more they eat, the better they’ll feel. Supersized portions at restaurants, fast-food chains and packaged goods at the grocery stores are obviously all playing into the myth that more is better. Yet so many people are stuffed but still “starving” for nutrition. The fact is, our bodies are satisfied by high-quality meals, not just big quantities of junk food.

MYTH: To make a change, you need to wait until you’re all ready.

FACT: Don’t wait until you’re “ready.” Please, start eating right, right now! Don’t fool yourself into believing now is just “too soon.” If you wait until everything is perfect in your life before you make a change for the better, you’ll be waiting forever! Things are never going to be “perfect.” Fact is, the time to change is now. The longer you wait before you take control of your nutrition and eating habits, the more you delay the rich rewards that are rightfully yours. Energy, strength, renewed health and decreased bodyfat… please begin feeding these benefits today! =)
